More than 20 crore 78 lakh COVID vaccine doses provided to states, UTs so far: Govt

TheGovernment has said that more than 20 crore 78 lakh COVID vaccine doses have been provided so far to States and Union Territories. Union Health Ministry said, as part of the nationwide vaccination drive, the government has been supporting the States and Union Territories by providing them COVID Vaccines free of cost.
 
The Ministry said, more than one crore 94 lakh COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the States and Union Territories to be administered. It said, one lakh vaccine doses are in the pipeline and will be received by the States and Union Territories within the next three days.
 
In the second quarter of this month, from 18th to 31st of May, one crore 95 lakh doses will be made available free of cost by the Union Government. The Ministry said, this information has already been shared with States and Union Territories. In addition, more than 72 lakh doses will be available for direct procurement by the States and Union Territories.
