Yoga – Adds years to your life

Yoga was originated in India. Yoga makes one to be mentally, spiritually and physically fit. There are many varieties of yoga schools, practices and goals in Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism. The word yoga is derived from the sanskrit which means to attach, join, harness and yoke. The word yoga gives spiritual sense which was arised in the second half of the first millennium BCE. The word yoga is associated with the philosophical system presented in the yoga sutras of patanjali with the chief aim of uniting human spirit with the Divine spirit.

The practice of yoga had been started during Indus Valley civilization around 3000 BCE. The yoga gained prominence in west in 20th Century by Swami vivekananda . Later yoga gurus were arised in India and in Western countries. Yoga developed into many other countries and it holds many records like stress buster, physical fitness etc… There is a proof that the one who practices yoga daily, will have high level philosophical commitment and the one who practices yoga daily, it adds years to their life.

yoga became fashion in the 20th Century. It makes people to be fit enough. So people started doing yoga. It also increases one’s concentration level. Today we have many organizations and institutions based on yoga. We are also celebrating international yoga day on June 21 every year which was initiated by our honorable Prime minister Narendra Modi in UN General Assembly. He said that , ” yoga is a invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action;restraint;fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and nature. By created our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help in wellbeing”. Later there were many hastags trended in social medias like twitter, fb, Instagram. Many fame people tagged their kith and kins and accepted the challenge and later it became trending throughout the world. Still there are many pages in social medias related to yoga,yoga trainers.

Yoga and it’s benefits:

There are few yogas which makes you to be fit and healthy.

Suryanamaskar:

Suryanamaskar is the best asana to make you fit and it prevents from all types of pains includes join pain , back pain and knee pain etc…

Sukhasana:

Sukhasana which is cross legged sitting pose is the best asana for breathing problem.

Tree pose:

The yoga which improves strength, balance and flexibility is ‘Tree pose’ asana.

Cat cow pose :

Cat cow pose helps to recover from back pain. The American college of physicians recommends this asana as the first one in the treatment of chronic low back pain.

Downward Dog pose :

Downward Dog pose helps to reduce the stress level and contributes healthier heart. It also reduces the blood pressure and over weight which leads to heart disease.

Savasana:

To reduce your stress level, mental health and to be healthy you can do corpse pose (savasana) .

These are the few yogas which adds years to your life. While doing yoga one should take deep breathing which increases the blood flow in the body. If one want to get rid from health issues, should pursue yoga daily. It helps one to sleep better. According to National Institutes of Health, there are evidences that shows yoga supports one to led a peaceful and healthy life .
